Wavesport ZG vs Project

I am looking at a new boat and after the help from this forum I think it's going to be a wavesport or a dagger agent.

I have been offered a wavesport zg for 300 (480 dollars) and a project will cost me 799 (1280 dollars) new, is there enough of an improvement in the project to make it worth spending the extra money?

PS. This is my first playboat and it will be to learn in.

Any help will be appreciated

Thanks

Martin

I've owned both and like both. The Project is a better playboat, no doubt. The ZG is a great playboat that is also really fun for down-river play. For the cost difference, I'd go with the ZG, unless you plan on throwing spider-monkey loops right away.

Lol thanks for that, as I don't know what a spider monkey loop is yet I think I'll buy the ZG do some learning then buy a 2nd hand project when the prices drop!

Thanks for the advice

yeah it goes without saying... just playing.. can you roll and what are you kayaking future plans? if you live next to a play feature and honestely plan on doing that more than 50 precent of the time i would buck down go with the boat thats gonna please you through out multiple years.. the X would be this boat. but if you live next to a river thats more towards technical moves and a catch on the fly kinda thingy i would lean towards the fuze. both good boats ive seen fuzes loop. so they can do all that its just harder.. the Agent will be a little harder to learn in and you want a nice clean wave for that boat. hole control demished with the way they chopped down the width and the rails. still great boat ive creeked in one but not ideal..

after a year of surfing majority of your time in a fuze you are going to start wanting the looseness of the smaller playboats. i tried one of them jackson kayak thingys and its not all that bad. that foot bag felt good on the bone spures but it seatpart wasnt quite how i like it. and tha back band was really akward
