Submersible waist pouch?

I've searched this forum, but have not found a relevant thread.

I'm new to whitewater rafting/kayaking and am looking for a waist pouch for my wallet and cell phone. Can people recommend a good submersible, waterproof waist pouch? I've found a few from various manufacturers (like Aquapac) but they've received mixed reviews on Amazon. It looks like none of them is perfectly submersible.

Does it have to be waist mounted? That might be your limiting factor here. I use a small Pelican case (1120 series I think) for my valuables, it can hold my wallet, keys, iPhone and small digital camera easily.

You should also look at Aquapac, NRS carries some of their stuff for cameras and mp3 players.

It doesn't have to be waist mounted as long as it is submersible and waterproof. I thought a waist pouch would give you the largest amount of freedom of movement.

Make sure that you wear it with the pouch facing front, while wearing socks and sandals.

Please note, this ensemble is not complete until the clip-on sunglasses have been donned.

How about any waist pouch and put your important contents inside a small waterproof stuff sack (which is easily found and reliably submersible)?

Fanny-packs and whitewater don't mix. (Unless it's 80's day.) Entrapment hazard.
