Sportyaks

Anybody ever try one of these things or something similar, or know how worthy they are, how they hold up? They're cheaper than buying a ducky and look pretty cool because you can row them. They'd be great fun and practice for kids on runs like Deso, Pumphouse... Plus I'm tired of my cheapskate buddy askin to row my boat and haulin his gear when he's got the dough to buy a boat, maybe he'll buy one of these.

Pictures? Link? If it's near what I think it is, I'm curious too. Saturn makes a 'kaboat" which is a wierdass cross between a kayak and a semi-rigid inflatable. Looks cool, you can row it down whitewater, and it's $500. Is this the type of thing you're referring to? Check 'em out on Saturn's website. I think they're pretty cool. And with a motor for fishing? Forget about it these things are dope.

This is the website, 2010 Sportyak Dinghy, In my Belknap guide to Deso there are photos of people running rapids in boats like these. A kid is running Three Fords and Coal Creek in one. Looks like fun.
