sharpie marker on my boat!

I am the second owner of my boat, and am now at my second address since owning the boat. I know that in Colorado you are supposed to have your name and address clearly visible on your boat. So I now have three addresses on my boat, the incorrect ones kinda crossed out,the current one not.
Long story short how do you clean Sharpie Marker off hypalon, with out damaging the material?

I'd try rubbing it out with a cotton cloth and toothpaste. It's slightly abrasive...might work and it's worth a try. Good luck.

MEK will take Sharpie right off Kayaks. Don't know about Hypalon - i would try on someone elses boat first.

Mr Clean Magic Eraser. Works like a charm on kayaks and rafts.

Start off with Toulene (SP?) if that doesnt work MEK will take it right off. All is available at your local hardware store. Just rinse with soapy water afterwards and use it in a well ventilated area.

Toluene is the solvent used in sharpies. Both it and MEK are powerful solvents that could eat through your boat depending on how you use it and what your raft is made of. Check with John Sells or Zach Baird at Inflatable Technologies or Raftfix.com, respectively, or the local glue-sniffer (raft repair guy) of your choice.

Goo off

There is some stuff called goo off or goop off. Yellow can in the paint section at Home depot or lowes. One of my todlers went artistic on a bunch of walls with a sharpie and that stuff took it right off while leaving the semigloss underneath still intact.
