Serious Kayaking Gear Thread

So I have a kayak specific question. Should the person running the support raft drain the melt water from the cooler holding my beer or leave it?

It wont melt if they have enough umbrellas....or a cooler inside a cooler inside a cooler like those Babushka dolls

Is two gross enough doilies for the San Juan?

I hear Tuff Sheds are on sale at Costco.

I too, am a fan of the cooler turducken. Cooler inside a cooler, inside a cooler. The more coolers you have the better. I have a set up where I have to open something like 12 coolers to get to one perfectly cold PBR. It's amazing! Oh, and they are all different brands. It starts with an Engle, then a coleman, then yeti, and so forth. That way I get all the benefits of each style. Some I leave the melted ice in, others I drain. It's very scientific and a proven through Mountainbuzz.com rafter studies that this technique works and will never fail. Also, I have a buddy who is like 750 pounds that has river danced on my setup without a failure. I have perfected the cooler set up!

hey I may be the turducken of boating :. a turkey who 's chicken in a ducky (the operative word being turd) but st least I don 't have the entire inventory of a big box store on my boat...males who use umbrellas should have their balls revoked

Real river people drink their beer warm, ideally with sand around the rim. Kind of a river margarita thing.

Cold beer on a river trip is a sure sign of pilgrims in the area.

And when Kayakers are around, it's prudent to hide all beer; even that beer the kayakers claim they provided. Kayakers will always take the last beer.

The real issue here is how big of a trailer can you tow and whether you may need to get a bigger truck to tow that bigger trailer that you need to haul the bigger raft that you now need to haul all of the excessive rafting crap that you now don't want to be without for that one night trip
