SCAT Machine question

Never used one...

I hear you need a couple straps to secure your rocket box. Does this ruin the straps? Can you use heavy wire ties instead?

Heres what you need. I'd go with a 61, 1/4 width and a minimum 1/32 on thickness. Double em up and never wear a strap out a again on a rocket box.

Of the SCAT machines I've used they do not ruin the straps. I've washed several different types of groovers and used just a normal cam strap to secure it and I've never had an issue

Harbor Freight has 2-packs of 12' cheapo cam straps for $4.
Use the ChiCom stuff for poo-duty!

Scat machines don't ruin cam straps, but we have separate straps that we use for scat machine duty.

I was just joking, thought it was funny someone asked if a rocket box would wear out a cam strap.

Scat machines work poorly on an eco tank. Better off using a conventinal rv dump if you have eco tanks. Some folks use unlined rocket boxes if they know a scat machine awaits.

Critical to add water and essentially top off the tank on the morning of the last day of trip. Makes the poo stew flow better.

You dont want to experience what happens if you skip this critical step

I second using dedicated groover straps

Hey, if you want me to take a dump in a box and mark it "guaranteed", I will. I got spare time.
