Re-gluing rubber grips on a Core (or H2O) paddle?

The rubber grips on my Core paddle have started to slip and twist. I was about to try using some Aquaseal to glue them back down, but I'm honestly not it would be up for the task. Before making a mess I was wondering if anyone else had to do the same repair.

Should I just wrap some gorilla tape around the ends of the grips?

I don't think aqua seal will be strong enough. Various glues and epoxies are specific to the surfaces they are intended to be bonded to. I'm not sure what the shaft of your paddle is made of but my guess is a 2 part epoxy that will bond rubber to the shaft material will make a much stronger bond than aqua seal. Aqua seal is awesome stuff but is very flexible, I could see it being too soft for a permanent fix on a paddle...

Core grips were molded onto the shaft whereas H2O glued their grips on. H2O used cyanoacrylate to bond the grips to the shaft. Insert a small screwdriver between the shaft and grip to create a space then put a few drops of cyano into the gap and pull out the screwdriver. Even though the Core shaft is different the grips , I believe, are still Santoprene which cyanoacrylate bonds to quite well. Don't know how well the cyano will bond to aluminium but I would try this process as a first attempt.
