PVC Winter storage?

I always baby powder my PVC vangaurd before I store it for the winter. Does anyone know if it is OK to 303 and baby powder for the winter. I just bought the 303 and am not really sure what it is. If it is oily will it mix weird with a talky substance. I dont want to open it in the spring and have some goopy mess. Thanks in advance.

I have been rolling my PVC boats for winter storage for may years and have never done anything special except make sure the boat is clean and dry. I always thought that 303d was for UV protection.

303 is for UV protection and it does leave a slight oily film on the boat. Makes it a bit slick for awhile. Wait and use it in the spring when it will be needed. Don't think baby powder and 303 would mix well.

Curious though, where did you get the baby powder idea? I can't think of any reason to do that. Clean and dry here too, I stored my Vang rolled in the garage the first few years, inflated in the basement last couple. boat is perfect.

303 should only be applied 1-2 times a year from what I've read. I used to over use it myself.

Don't baby/talcum powder PVC, it gives moisture a place to hang and creates mold spots.

On a vulcanized boat (shredder or DIB), the powder helps keep the boat from sticking to itself.

The bab y powder i've been doing for awhile and it keeps any moisture from molding and gives it a great baby powder smell for the spring. Ill 303 it inthe spring. Thanks everyone

Actually it attracts the moisture and gives the moisture something to hold onto. You really need to stop doing this, unless you want mildew problems.

I'm actually wanting to know some info from Colorado boaters because we don't have a humidity problem here. Ive been doing the baby powder thing for awhile and I like the way it works, I store my boat inside. I'm going to 303 my boat in the spring. Thanks everyone.
