Putting Relief Zipper in a Drysuit???

sorry too lazy & not enough time to search for threads on it.

is it possible? who does it around here & about how much does it cost?

got a great deal on it, swore it had one when i looked at it, but think i was so excited about getting it my mind tricked my eyes into seeing that there was one!

Check out Stitchlines (Stitchlines-Outdoor Gear Repair). I had a good epxerience with them getting my GoreTex ski pants fixed a few years ago.

I had a relief zipper retro fitted into my previous drysuit at Stitchlines. This was in 2008. She was very backed up with work. Had my drysuit in her shop more than six weeks before a May MFS trip. I called several times to check on the status. I told her my drop dead date to have it (3pm the day I was leaving). When I got to the shop, she still hadn't started it. I had to just wait while she finished the project. She was nervous to cut into the suit. I noticed that some of the waterproof seam wasn't exactly where it should be. She told me it was fine. Well... I ended up with a leaky seam that I had to aquaseal.

As far as I know, this is the only local place to have it done. Just a heads up.

My memory was about $100 to get it done.

Yeah I talked to her, Phyllis, today. She said no problem, about $65. Going to mail or ups it to her, hard to make it to s. Denver btwn 11-1 only 3 days out of the week. Hopefully she's gotten much better since 2008.

You could also see if Kokatat will do it. If you are going to mail it to Denver why not mail it to the PNW? From what Laura is saying you might get a quicker turn around from them.
