I've got an old waterstick bent shaft paddle that is constructed with a joint in the middle of the shaft that started to twist about 5-10 degrees.
It doesn't twist beyond that and won't come apart - hasn't in the 3-4 days that I have used it that way. Pretty eerie feeling to be at the top of a drop and feel it twisting, just wondering if its going to come apart or not. It's been leaking ever since I got it I think (actually a warrantied replacement of the first that lasted only one trip with water in it, then they weren't around any longer...)
So, I'm going to try to repair it with epoxy and some sort of plug or smaller diameter pipe in the shaft at the joint. Just wondering if anyone has any insights or tips. Can't really afford a new paddle right now, might as well try with nothing to loose right?
