ore lock options for NRS frame??

i'm looking for any sources of ore locks that would fit an NRS frame aside from what NRS sells. would like something taller and lighter. DRE makes something that may work but only has a slide on fitting. has anyone ever used the NRS ore lock extenders? - thanks!

you can use marks (aaa) 1 1/4 towers but instead of using the offset tees (that slide on), have him put a low pro there. thats what NRS used to do back in the day.

AAA's are just like DRE's, but I'm sure either of them would replace the slide on fitting with the removable one if that's an issue for you. Every maker out there will fit it to an NRS frame diameter if that's what you need. Clavey and Pro too. Pro has a bit cleaner design with the straight shaft and internals, and they're cheaper I think.

Actually they are backwards from one another. AAA towers face in, and DRE face out

Oar Towers & Bases-Cast Oar Tower - Frame Parts - Frames & Accessories

VS

AAA Oar Tower

the difference being you can angle the AAA towers outboard of the boat and still have the correct oar lock angle. I did the same thing with their 1 1/2 size towers and a tee. DRE towers would point straight out in this config.

Actually, now that I look more, wouldn't you really just accomplish the same thing by reversing which side of the boat they are on? Ie, yours could be more straight up with the right lock angle if you interchanged the right and left. In the AAA pic the tops are in board where you have them outboard. The dre are outboard with the stand straight up but if you went in board you could angle the stand out. Its like two ways to so the same thing depending on how you rig it.
