New kid looking for a boat!

I just got into this rafting stuff and Im looking for a boat.

Ideally i want a lightweight boat no longer than 13 ft. I want to use it for both fishing and whitewater. I really like the aire super puma or puma but its a little spendy, so i would have to get a used one. With a frame i want to fit 2-3 people.

I am a college student so cost is definitely an issue. Does anybody have any suggestions or know of a good deal on a boat? Any help would be awesome. thanks

Have you checked the gear swap tab at the top of this page?

If so and didn't find what you would like I know of a couple places around here to find inexpensive used rafts...but the Ark Valley is a long way from Idaho.

Good luck!

Boise is a pretty good place to be on the lookout for a used AIRE. I have seen many on Craigslist there in the past that made me wish I lived closer...

Yeah i check craigslist quite a bit and i found a few boats i liked on the swap but most of the boats seem a little big for what i wanted. if i found a really good deal i would really consider driving to somewhere like colorado.

Mainly i have been looking for aire rafts. what other brands would be good to consider that arent too expensive?

there's a sweet maravia diablo fishing rig with all the fixins on the bozeman CL for $2000. If I was in the market I 'd be looking at that one.

Eric at IRR is the Aire rep for the Arkansas Valley. Pretty much every season he switches out commercial rafts for new models, and sells the used ones at discounted prices.
Check with him and see what he's got.

No i havent looked into those. I just found a pretty good deal on a aire puma. The thing that keeps me looking at the aire rafts is the warranty
