Sounds pretty accurate as far as price goes. Depends on what kind of condition the skirt, boat and paddle are in. If all are in good shape, it is a good deal for a beginner...You could probably sell it for the same thing that you bought it for once you figure out what kind of boat and paddle you want.

They (as well as all members) are not supposed to try and sell gear in the forums. There is a "Swap" tab at the top of the page for that purpose.....that said, I know they do have some pretty good deals at the moment (leftovers from the Paddlefest swap). Check out their website: Kayaks, Kayak Accessories, Gear, Fishing Equipment, Kayaking Accessory

or give them a call:

and I agree, the Jive with paddle and skirt for $300 is a descent deal, but the Jive is not a very modern boat.

The Jive

Not that you are anywhere near the ocean, but the Jive is a kick ass surf kayak.

Vtpackraft,
Do you like the jive for running also or just a play boat? Seems long for a play boat?

I do. Best advice here is that you can probably resell it if you want something different for a good value. Its not a play boat. Mine now sits in my parents garage so I can take it into the ocean when I go home for Christmas.

Its def not a "play boat" but you can learn to surf on it, better on bigger glassy waves. Its damn fast so you can punch through holes, rolls easy. I still have never had a true playboat.
