I need a 9' oar...got one?

two weeks ago on the Gunnison (Gorge) I sideswiped against a boulder and broke the shaft of my spare oar...a 9' yellow rope wrapped, counter balanced Sawyer Polecat....the blade is still fine.....I need a new spare oar...I know some folks wail about not having a mismatched spare (no I wouldn't want to row the whole Grand with a mismatched pair, but mostly doing day trips, fishing) so....anyone have a 9', 8.5' or even 9.5' or 10' (to cut down) Sawyer rope wrapped shaft of any kind (and use my good blade and even counterbalanced handle I have) or any 9' or 8.5' total length oar/blade combo oarlock compatable (don't want pins/clips) you don't need or want to sell? a new Polecat shaft with rope wrap is $140 and I want to be cheaper.....there are some sales coming up this fall, but curious if someones got something out there?! .......thanks, Chet I am in Denver, 720-271-5887 [email protected]

I've got 3 9' cataract shafts w/rope wrap if you want- would sell all three for $300 or $110 each (they're $145 + shipping/tax retail). They're black and were used 3 days on a class 2 trip (too short for my new frame), so are basically brand new. In Steamboat but could meet somewhere in between. No counter-weights, so they'd make a nice light, but high performance spare.

Chet,

I think I might have a 8.5' Carlisle shaft in my garage, your blade will work with it so all you would need to buy is a sleeve and a descent bottle of whiskey for me. Let me know if you still need it and I will measure it.
