I enjoy takin on new projects especially save some cash. Any one ever ponder the idea of a home made footbag? Or make one? Or my next question is any one ever throw a happy feet in any Wavesport models ''fuse''??? I didn't like the Jackson boats but loved the happy feet. And love my fuse. Feed back would be rad.
Right on! Ive used foam like this for making artificial concrete rocks. Seams like I could form a block wrap my feet in shrink wrap and pour around em and once cured I could trim to fit boat. Would be way more custom fit than the lame block ws slaps in. And add a great deal of buoyancy to the boat without much weight.
I also wish WS would get on the foot bag bandwagon. Jackson sells their foot bags after market for around $70. I'll continue to use a cutout foam block until I can find a cheaper option. Stern float bags are another item that I'd love to hear some homemade/cheaper options for. $50-60 bucks is pretty steep for a couple of tapered pool toys.
See that's what I'm thinking maybe gettin some rubber material like and inter tube type stuff. Doin some cutting, either rubber cement or hot welding together, slap in a valve, grab an air hand pump from a blood pressure kit a few feet of 1\4" hose and your good to go. Plus then it would be fit to your boat not just a Jackson, Or one size fits all.
Bubble wrap float bags are the bomb. I have the most fun with them on the flat water, just gotta be careful not to pop to many before running the gnarlz. Next I plan to make a pfd out of the Styrofoam my tv came in or maybe a paddle out of a broom handle and some old DVD cases. Anyone have some duct tape I can borrow?
