Footwear

Hey Im looking to buy some new paddling gear for the fall/winter since we're having sales right now and can't decide what the best type of footwear is... Im looking at some new booties or something similar I used to own some NRS but the traction and sole for portaging just wasn't good enough so I was just wondering some opinons on what has a good sole, durability, warmth, ect...
Thanks Guys

I wear Stohlquist caveman booties. They are warm and have excellent traction.

I've heard good things about the Vibram Five Fingers but I've not used them myself.

I've tried a lot of different booties/river shoes & th eonly ones that really stand out have been the Nike booties (can't remember name, I bought 3 sets) and my Keens. Very happy with the Keens. If you can squeeze the thicker sole in your boat, the hood rivers are super comfy.

five fingers are not enough booty. try kicking rocks in those and then buy something better.

Yeah, I bought a pair of those at one point... comfy, but I couldn't get them to fit in my playboat...
