Floor and amo can set up?

I need to build a floor for my raft and was wondering how most people attach amo cans to their floors.. any general set-up wisdom would be sweet. If this has already been posted...just show me the way. Thanks.

I just cut slots in my floor and run a strap through it.

Do you permanently attached at cam strap so your you're not always threading it through the floor. Do you secure multiple amo cans with one cam strap?

Thanks for the info...

I leave the strap permanently in the hole. I only use one ammo can per strap. I am sure you could strap multiple ammo cans with one strap if you wanted.

I found multiple amo cans on one strap can shift. One per can is a solid way to go.
I have also strapped amo cans under the deck of my frame (same way: w slots cut). It keeps them out of the way too.

At Down River Equipment (www.downriverequip.com), we make a hold down bracket for rocket boxes and/or Captain's Boxes. We take a piece of angle aluminum and cut out strap slots on the vertical side and drill out holes on the horizontal side. Loop straps work great for securing the box to the brackets and bolts or welding (if you have an aluminum floor), will hold the bracket in place. Unfortunately, we don't have any pictures, but I should be able to get a couple tomorrow.

Sincerely,
Zach

If you want to open your ammo can without removing a strap, attach a couple of footman's loops to the sides with pop rivets and then run the strap through them. You should be able to get footman's loops at most hardware stores.

Cheep and simple:

Drill holes in the bottom and bolt ‘em straight to the deck.

Your really in favor of drilling holes in your DRY box??? Wouldn't work for stuff like a groover box, unless you want to install a magazine rack next to it.
