Drysuit Sizing?

In a dilemma buzzards and trollers, need some insight. I'm 6'4, 225. Got a 36" waist. Tall and skinny-ish. So I'm right at the cutoff for kokatats XL which fits 6'-6'4. The XXL fits 6'-6'6 but of course gets wider. Anybody else faced this issue? Any suggestions? I'm stuck in Vegas for the winter so there's no paddle shops to try things on.

I don't have quite the same problem, my issue was being 6'9" and not fitting. I ended up doing a custom suit from Kokatat. While it came out fine, I think if I did it again, I'd have had them do a XXL waste on the top and add another inch or two to the inseam. Fits fine, but the crotch is a little low and the waist a little tight (and I'm thin at 210lbs). The waist surprised me as it's narrower than their XL drytop I have. It fits fine, I'll be in trouble if I gain another 40lbs I suspect.

The overall cost adder wasn't too much, couple hundred if I recall. Been one of the best purchases I've made. Kokatat was easy to work with, though at first they didn't think they could add the additional material, after talking more with them they said yes.

But I can't really say how a XL vs XXL drysuit is, but custom wasn't too bad. I'd note all my comments are on their GMER suit, not the new Jackson one.

My XL fits me just fine and I'm 6'4". Can you hit up your local paddle shop and try one on?

+1 on the custom fitting. Just send in your measurements and they will make one that fits you exactly. Plus the warranty will last forever (just about)!

You're kayaking? Kayaking gear cinches down most of the extra bulk. I'd size up or go custom. If you're climbing around a lot, it's a horrible feeling to have your leg range of motion inhibited because your suit is too small. Kayaking skirt also makes it harder to perfectly distribute the length of suit so a little extra tolerance is nice.
