drysuit/bibs underlayers

I'm headed down the Grand in mid-January and thinking about my layering system. I'll be wearing a drytop and bibs and rowing most of the time. I have a unionsuit but unless I'm jammed in a kayak I'd rather wear more versatile underlayers... like something that's comfortable for a couple hours in camp... and allows me to hit the groover without any undo awkward contortions... would really hate to throw my back out like that.

I'm looking at Kokatat's Outer Core and REI Wavelight XT pants...

any ideas or suggestions?

thanks and happy new years!
