Dry Box Clasps

So I am making an cooler water tight by weather stripping it. I bought hinges to adjust to the weather strippping but now I need the clasps (locks) taht are the like the ones on a dry box. I have gone to a couple of hardware stores a lumber yard with all the fixings and a big box home improvement store, to no avail just weird looks from the people who work in them even after I show them a picture of said clasp/ lock.
Does anyone know the right terminology for this thing?

Thanks;

Christian

I have a bunch of extras if you are near boulder. not shipping them.

I've always heard them called butterfly latches.

Called 'rotary draw latch' or 'wing turn latch' by some manufactors.

Here is where I got mine, spend the extra bucks for the stainless steel ones... it hurts now but you will be happier in a year or two.

Pulse, That is also where I get mine. Local Denver office of Alegis. The brand of the fasteners southco. They make some really fancy ones as well.

Took a look at your site. I like the boxes. Wish I had thought about welding some tabs on to the ammo can like that. I powder coated mine and mounted 3 of them to 3/8 Lexan type material using rubber washers and silicone. They look great, but are not removable on the river.

Christian, If you want to look at some of the applications I have used them for pm me. I think your in the same town.
