Different size kayaks?

Hi everyone! I'm new to Kayaking, have grown up canoeing since I was a little kid, finally got the chance to go white water rafting the Royal Gorge this summer and got bit by the white water bug. I have been looking online for some used kayaks and dont really know what a good used kayak should cost, look like, length, etc...

I am 6' 3" 220lbs, looking for a fun boat that i can use to learn, and progress in. I dont want to buy a boat to learn and have to buy another boat to re-learn in. I would love to learn tricks eventually after learning the water and the boat and how to pick good lines.

So I guess my question is whats a good boat for my size, experience level...???

Demo as much as you can. Couple that fit the bill that might be around used:

Jackson 4Fun/Superfun
Wavesport Fuse
Pyranha Recoil

Those are more of the play orientated river runners since that seems to be where you are leaning. If you want more of a river runner than you open up more options. I would say a used boat is between 300-600(ish). 600 for a very good condition popular last year or two model. I say most good used boats go between 350-500. Make sure no cracks, check the outfitting, no weak spots in the hull, and that they were stored out of direct sunlight and on end.

I have a Liquid Logic CR250 that would fit you. It's in great condition, stored inside. It's located in Carbondale so if you're up this way you can demo it at the Glenwood playpark or in the Canyon. Grizzily to Two Rivers is an easy float.
