deciding on which kayak

I have been out of kayaking for about 12 years and would like to get back into the rivers.
I was a class IV boater then and i would be doing class III for now until i got better.
My son has been down some class III water and is a natural and learns quick, but only has been kayaking a couple of times.
Looking for a boat for me and my son for class III that would be easy to use and get back into things again.
I am 5'7" 175 lbs he is 5'10" and 180 lbs.
I have been looking at uesd boats
Pyranha Inazone 230
Wavesport Diesel 75
Liguid logic hoss
prijon kaituna
dagger juice
What do you recommend ? or other used boats with spending $$$$$$$$$
Thankyou and have a great boating season coming up.
I am in california but use to live in colorado and thinking about moving back
bob

I would suggest not getting any of those, instead get a newer age playboat.

Especially if you guys are going to paddle class III, playboats will be a bigger aide to becoming better all around boaters. If your son is young and into it he will benefit being able to learn cartwheels, hole/wave surfing, back deck rolls. Not to mention park&play is great for anyone that needs work on their roll and eddy practice.

My suggestions- Project 52, pyranha 420, Jackson star/fun series. These boats are fun down river playboats and great boats to learn the basics of boating in.

What Cphilli said.

The diesel will be the best "easy" boat to paddle but it will let you get away with more. It's up to you and your goals, which very well may be different than your son's.

Playboats make you rely on your roll. Buy my lil joe for your son so he can boat class V without one!

I disagree with the above posts about starting with a playboat unless you are aggressive and dont mind taking your lumps. I have seen many people start who arent 20 something males and they quit because its too hard. The Diesel will let you enjoy the sport and is a great beginner boat.
