I purchased a new Necky Jive 8'4" in about 1998.
Then I "retired" and sold it.
I found one on craigslist and purchased.
However:
the seat is different. It seems heavier and more functional than the original). I surfed the net and I am seeing this seat frequently so I am inferring at some point Necky changed the seat. Does anyone know?
Also, did they thicken the plastic?
I ask because the boat I purchased off craigslist was too heavy for me; paddling and rolling were a struggle. I won't be able to keep the boat.
I read someplace the Jive weighs 43 lbs. The one I purchased I believe was in the 38-40 lb range... so it looks like there were changes.
I appreciate any insight. I miss my Jive!
