Chacos resoling?

I love my old chacos but I am losing my sole and I see that the Chacos website offers resoling. Has anyone tried this, do they do a good job? I have had these for a long time and I believe the rubber on them is 5.10 and the resoling looks like Vibram, any comments on that?

I had the webbing replaced on one sandal after my puppy took a liking to it. Very positive experience and minimal charge.

Do it. I have had about 5 pairs resoled, very worthwhile. Great people

I have had them (Chaco) resole mine several times and they just keep coming undone!! They sent me new pair, no charge, but stated they were trying different glues for success!
Extremely good customer care just poor glue!

Are we talking about the old Chaco from Paonia, or the new Chaco from China? Years ago I had sandals re-webbed and re-soled and they came out great. I'm apprehensive about dealing with the new company.

These are over 10 years old so it is the old Chaco.

I was going to have mine resoled and rewebbed but it cost 76 bucks plus shipping - I got a new pair for 90, sigh. But eventually I'll take the old pair and have them resoled with Vibram somewhere local.

gh, go to the "ReChaco" part of the website and read about the service. Then call them and express any hesitation. Mention that you moderate a busy boaters message board. You will either get new soles and webbing (of your choice) for around half price, OR they will send you a brand new pair for free. You'll speak with an American in Michigan and my recent experience was a very good one.

There is no American made replacement for Chaco, so I still buy 'em, though I agree they aren't what they used to be....

I wonder if it is possible to get a felt sole on a chaco? Anyone tried?
