Cat frame

Ok so I'm totally new to all of this but my friend and i want to built a cat. I was gonna get some 15 foot tubes and was thinking about building a frame that sits on top the tubes (if you want to see what im talking about look at the sea eagle foldcat, except i would connect my boards using d rings). But then i started to look around at what other people build and it makes me doubt my idea so any info or reccomendation about whether it would work to have a platform frame on top the tubes or if theres something else out there i should try it would be appreciated. But i would like to have the abbility to have a several person capacity.

I have done some searching but like i explained i havent seen any other frame that sit on top the tubes. I was just wondering if that would work like in the sea eagle fold cat.

All frames sit on top. then they drop down 11" for the floor or bottom, this keeps the tubes separated and anchors them to the frame securely. look at all the frames discussed on this forum and read them all.

The Aire Cougar came with a flat frame that sounds like what your asking about. It just lays across the top of the tubes.

The modular frames on CataRaft.Net are user definable...and this is an unbiased opinion
