Bomber Gear Skirt failure after 10 days of playboating

Hi MB,

I bought this $100 spray skirt for my girlfriend about two months ago and the neoprene is already ripping on the cockpit rim. She has used it maybe 10 times.

Are others experiencing the same failures with these skirts?

That skirt is over two years old, bought mine in 2014 and it is still going strong with no issues. Since being bought out by Confluence and Rick's passing my impression is anything from BG is a few (at least) years old, could be wrong though. If not stored correctly I could see issues, would hope backcountry takes care of you.

I loved his gear and still use a lot of it, not sure how I am going to replace my creek mitts.

Stay away from new Bomber Gear

Bomber Gear of today is not the same as Rick's old company. Confluence Watersports bought his name and replaced all the gear with crappy cheap shit but kept the cool graphics. From my experience they also replaced the owner to consumer customer service with rude non helpful maybe paddlers.
In fact the Bomber Warranty is not Bomber and is just a bunch of meaningless words.

I'd give them a chance to repair/replace it

I'd give them a call and see if they'd be willing to repair/replace your skirt. Could have just been a manufacturing defect.
