I'm not sure if it would be to much in North Cackalacky ,but a Kokatat drysuit is one of my best investments all-time. I have however also used: and still use on occasion when it is not too cold my shorty semi dry with an NRS Hydroskin longsleeve underneath. Helps to keep you warm and water outside of your boat.
If temps are a bit too mild to warrant a drysuit I would recommend a Kokotat Rogue drytop with a nice fleece layer underneath. Throw a pair of silk weight thermals on your legs under some shorts and possibly a pair of pogies or gloves and you should be good to go.
