Axiom 8.5 vs 9.0

Any thoughts of whether the Axiom 8.5 (130 - 210 lbs.) or 9.0 (180 - 265 lbs.) would be a better Grand Canyon choice for a 185 pound paddler ... that is paddler only, no gear (PFD, shoes) etc. I don't have easy access to the 9.0 and little worried might be too big, as very much towards lower end of the range.

Thanks - any thoughts much appreciated!

8.5 for sure. Much more playful. That's what I paddled last year at about 205, and unless it's a self support, I can't imagine taking anything else in the future for that trip.
