Greetings to all. I've been lurking for awhile...and gained much insight on these pages. Now.. I'm in need of some real advice for my own self...I'm a rookie rafter.
I saw a great deal on an older, well kept 12' Avon Redshank bucket raft. I'd been wanting and looking for a raft for fishing the Yakima and other local rivers, but was still in the process of weighing the pros and cons of a used hypalon vs. new pvc when this deal presented itself. Now I'm planning what I can do for a low cost fishing frame/setup. I got the idea of building my own frame from these forums (don't remember the thread). Here is the link that was given in the thread for building your own, for those unfamiliar How to build a river raft frame
My questions are...what does the passenger's (fisherman's) feet rest on? The raft floor? How about the rowers feet? Even if a foot bar is added...you still gotta get in and out. Is this hard on the floor...or is it made to withstand it? Is there a simple way of suspending a floor for these feets?
Any photos or descriptions would be very appreciated.
