I have the 125 qt Yeti tundra in my 14" Vanguard. It fits perfect, but rubs on the insides of the tubes a little. In the future I might glue on wear pads where the cooler rides, but right now I'm not worried about it. I went with the advice to get the biggest cooler you can fit, and it fits perfect.

They have the Yeti coolers in stock at the surplus store in Glenwood. Take your boat over and try one on.

Yeti all the way. Have a 75 qt in my Vanguard, love it. Their customer service is top notch. Their coolers are tough and cold!

I like my cooler to ride low and fill the width of the raft. I looked hard for a used Yeti 120 to fill my 39" space. It was worth the search. It hangs about 3" above the frame, and stays secure in-between my tubes with just a pair of lopp straps. I looked at Canyon Coolers, and they are very nicely made for the money, sits way too high above the frame. I tired cheaper rubbermaid, igloo, but none their lid sealed tight. For 3-5 nights, you may be ok, but anything beyond a week, it may be worth spending a little more for rotomolded coolers that seal tight (Yeti, Engel, NRS Big Sky, Canyon, etc).

Same problem I had. The Canyon 105 Sailor fit the bill perfectly. A longer, shorter cooler (13-14 inches tall if I remember right). Unfortunately Canyon doesn't appear to carry them anymore. Canyon tends to change up what they carry from time to time, and they don't always have every model in stock. But they were the only ones who had a cooler in the dimensions I needed. I got a 52 Qt weekend/small boat cooler from them this spring, and it's really nicely made. I used it with my 12 ft. raft on Deso for 7 days, and had about 1/3 of my ice left when I got home.

I have a canyon cooler (sailor 105) in my 14 vanguard. fits perfect, was half the cost of a yetti, and and sits lower than my old coleman cooler.

Yep....too bad they don't have them on their website anymore. I should ask Jason if they'll get them again?
Moon.....how was your Deso trip? Probably not as much work as ours since you had that motor. We had a great time. My little raft was a blast.

Oops. Nevermind. Already sold out. They've been off the website for awhile, so maybe they'll be back in stock soon?
