Castle Creek Flows and Wood *7-14-2015

A buddy and I decided to take a drive over to Aspen to Run Castle Creek through Slaughterhouse. The decision to run Castle Creek came by way of the flow section here on the buzz not confident of the exact level but I believe it was around 165-70 (which was stated as lower runnable)and in both of our opinion this volume is nowhere near enough it was a bump and grind take your boat for a hike kind of day. There are no less than 3 river wide must walk strainers (mucho madera in el rio) straight up wood fest in there. Be careful of the very first strainer about 100-50 yards from the Castle Creek Rd Bridge. It looks runnable river left, I assure I found out the hard way IT IS NOT!!! On a side note any one up for some chainsawing??? This run would be absolutely spectacular with 75-100cfs and no wood
