Arkansas River Hazard - @ Cottonwood Creek
A recent flash flood in Cottonwood Creek has pushed a lot of debris, rock, and silt into the Arkansas river at approximately river mile 68.25 (Hampton's Guidebook) and across from CR 39. This is between the Vallie Bridge and Trading Post accesses. The cause is likely due to soil destabilization and detritus from the Hayden Pass Fire of 2016. While I have not personally ran this section, I drive by it once a week and it has definitely changed.
The larger the river of knowledge the longer the shoreline of wonder.
