Alto Alto Death Hazard

If you do not use the normal take out and continue down stream there is a river wide pile of shit including railroad ties and other railroad debris immediately following the railroad bridge just upstream form Pinecliffe. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO FLOAT UNDER AND PAST THE RAILROAD BRIDGE.

On Tuesday 6/22 we arrived at the takeout described in the guidebook to find no parking signs in both of the soccer field sized pull outs off of highway 72. After a quick chat with the local CDOT driver we were somewhat forced to park in the public lot in Pinecliff. I would highly recommend chancing the ticket or using another takeout just downstream of the normal takeout.

Yep, that is one bad bridge. There is a small take out (no no parking signs), just a little further down the road, but above that railroad bridge.
