NM Gila/Monsoon Chasing LD wknd ne1?

The Gila has been running over 900 most of today!

Go Monsoons!! If you're in the Gila area - go play!

I gotta work until Friday, but as long as there are a few more rainstorms in the Gila this week it seems feasible that some remote, seldom runnable but scenic class III-ish Gila canyons may be runnable in Southern NM/AZ (I'm thinking middle box in NM, but I'm down for following the water and being flexible).

I have the three day weekend, I have a little raft (Aire Puma) I can solo or add paddlers/gear/beer to, and a 98' Chevy Prism I can stuff the raft into the trunk of, and leave places nicer vehicles should not be left.

I'd also love to go to the Canadian river basin in NE NM and chase similar rare scenic canyons there if the that's where the water is.

If anyone is thinking of something similar this weekend send a PM.
