Devil's Causeway trail

I know this isn't a boating thread , but since the Rio is a little bit low, I was just wondering if anyone had any better beta about the Devil's Causeway trail in the Flat Tops or if there was any boating in that area, say class III.

Is this trail hikeable without falling to instant death? If it is instant death are the views worth it?

Is it heavily traveled?

Does it still have snow on it?

Thanks,

snow level is probably 9000 feet in the flattops

definitely some class II-III stuff on the East Fork of the Wiilliams Fork off of Pyramid Peak, near Pagoda. probably a 1st D. Way back in there.

Here's a pic I took last summer from the road, probably May. You may want to wait until late May to bag this one, it looked like it could get higher than when I was there.

The Devil's causway is nothing to worry about from Stillwater to Lost lake. It will be a bitch of a hike taking a boat over it. I don't know any reason you'd take a boat to the causeway and then head out onto the flat tops (the true causeway), this is the other trail on maps you'll see. You could do it with a boat but their isn't any point. All the creeks back in there have tons of down timber in them and I wouldn't bother with it. The views are great. If you do this you want to take time to spend a day hiking on the tops. Make a 3-4 day loop of it. It's 11-12k feet so I wouldn't bother till mid-June or later. It can be pretty muddy up there.
