Wyoming creek race?

would any of you inbreed wanna be boaters be interested in coming up to wyoming and having a little beer buy in creek boat racing boofilious party? or 2?

in other words a great fun time. if you can't handle the whitewater you can sure help with safety on some of the drops.

creek race in wyoming, beer is the entry fee and partying is mandatory.
either popo agie, one of the clarks fork runs, one of the bighorn runs. or even in casper deer creek for an early season run late april early may?

Yeah Mike, you should race the Box. I'll string some chicken wire across the takeout.

The problem I see with any of the Clarks Fork runs- besides the day stretch- is access. And who wants to race the day stretch? Its pretty flat if your aren't running the portages. Something like the lower Popo run could work though. Too bad there are only about 5 boaters in a 100 miles radius of Lander. What I am getting at is that any creek race in Wyoming will be a destination event for the likely competitors. For a destination event to work, the creek should already be a destination (like Big Timber for instance). I'm not saying it couldn't happen, but you'll have a hard time drawing people to the event when the water is running close to home.

I think the best bet for this type of event is to put it on a slightly easier stretch and tie it in with other activities. That's the formula they use in Jackson, and I think their rodeo weekend is a great time. A race doesn't have to be on the gnarliest stretch you can think of to be fun.

It must be a class III race if casparmike is hosting, good thing there will be safety to collect all his gear.

Yeah, some late season BGC race action when nothing else is going would be awesome. I'd be in.

We are planning on a big event here in Cody end of August and will have races on the 2 class 4 sections and a class 3 section! This is the dam controlled section we will be sure to have plenty of water, pretty much the typical 1000 cfs. I will get you guys more info as we get it all put together!

A creek race on Ten Sleep creek would be nice but pretty full on!

Marty and brandon you guys have seen it at 2 feet on the gauge you want to go for it?
