Workin to live

So I was sitting in traffic in Norwood canyon (crazy, I know) and I wondered what the traffic controller holding the stop sign might do for fun. Maybe this guy works does the crappy job of holding the sign all day so he can paddle after work?

It got me thinking what odd jobs do you do so you can sustain the addiction?

I know a lot of lifties, patrollers, and waiters (I'm a lift mechanic), but what else?

I am a massage therapist and make my own schedule - sweet deal - I am also back in school to eventually become a nurse because although I love my job and flexibility of schedule it isn't not enough sweet moolah. I think becoming a nurse/part time massage therapist will provide the cash, schedule and (hopefully) a job I sincerely like.

Stay at home dad(wife works). Paddle after 5 on weekdays and on weekends. Gives you plenty of time to think about the next adventure.

Public accountant. Work my ass off from Jan 15 to April 15, once work slows down the rivers pick up, just move from tax season to paddling season. Ah, the seasons of my life....

I can't talk about what I do, but I work solid from March to first week of June, then off until late September thru early November. That's it. The rest is whatever I want.

Well, Sealion has my curiosity peaked. Should the thread digress to making guesses at what he does for a living?
