woodland park, co????

I am looking at a job in Woodland Park and was wondering what life is like for a IV-V boater living there. I have spent the past few summers living in Minturn and love having the Eagle River and Dowd Chute in the frontyard. Are there any good local runs in the area??

Not so good as Minturn.
You're close to 11-Mile, which is cool when it runs.
You're, what, 30 minutes from Waterton I think?
And then about 90 minutes to the Numbers/Fractions/Browns etc. and about the same to Royal Gorge.
It better be a good job.

Although getting more developed now, for a long time Woodland Park was my favorite mountain town. Maybe not the best for boating, but for general outdoor access, it's great. It is far from a lot of the SP drainage creeks, but close to the Ark and NFSP releases.

High and dry, bud.
