Winter Storm Watch in effect! A vigorous storm is expected

NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DENVER CO
1159 AM MDT SAT OCT 8 2005

...WINTER TYPE STORM EXPECTED TO DEVELOP TOMORROW OVER THE MOUNTAINS AND URBAN CORRIDOR...

.A VIGOROUS STORM IS EXPECTED TO MOVE INTO COLORADO TOMORROW AND CONTINUE THROUGH MONDAY NIGHT. WIDESPREAD SNOWFALL IS EXPECTED ACROSS THE NORTH CENTRAL MOUNTAINS AND FRONT RANGE FOOTHILLS STARTING SUNDAY AND CONTINUING THROUGH MONDAY EVENING. IT IS ALSO EXPECTED TO BE BECOME COLD ENOUGH FOR RAIN TO CHANGE OVER TO SNOW OVER THE URBAN CORRIDOR AND PALMER RIDGE SUNDAY NIGHT AND MONDAY.

SNOWFALL AMOUNTS WITH THIS STORM HAVE THE POTENTIAL OF EXCEEDING 12 INCHES.

APPROPRIATE MEASURES SHOULD BE TAKEN BY ALL PEOPLE LIVING IN THE
WATCH AREAS AS THIS WILL BE THE SEASONS FIRST SIGNIFICANT SNOW
STORM. DRIVERS IN THE WATCH AREAS SUNDAY THROUGH MONDAY NIGHT WILL LIKELY ENCOUNTER HAZARDOUS WINTER ROAD CONDITIONS.

LARIMER AND BOULDER COUNTIES BETWEEN 6000 AND 9000 FEET-
JEFFERSON AND WEST DOUGLAS COUNTIES ABOVE 6000 FEET
GILPIN/CLEAR CREEK/NORTHEAST PARK COUNTIES BELOW 9000 FEET-
INCLUDING...ESTES PARK...GLENDEVEY...NEDERLAND...
RED FEATHER LAKES...BAILEY...CENTRAL CITY...EVERGREEN...
GEORGETOWN...IDAHO SPRINGS...WESTCREEK

A WINTER STORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM SUNDAY EVENING THROUGH MONDAY EVENING.
