Last years beta:

Willow is mostly good, with one serious log jam rapid that sneaks up, with a few single boat eddies on river left to stage the portage from. There is a channel through, but odds of success looked low. The fence/wire/death trap at the road bridge at the confluence with the Elk should be scouted. Plan on paddling the Elk river as well (worth it) to avoid taking out at said private death trap, and deal with other crappy takeout options on the Elk. Easy class V creek that is quality (mostly IV with hiccups). You will boof over a number of (5-10) river wide logs.

Mad Creek had one very ugly log jam at a crux rapid, that we portaged. Only one portage, but extensive scouting required, and it's kind of blind. This is a hard class V creek. Beautiful, intense, every man for himself, not really most people's cup of tea.
