Yeah, the details would be the weather. What it boils down to is the temperatures are still dropping well below freezing above treeline...so the melt hasn't got going yet.
There are no planned releases from Twin Lakes until the runoff starts...see this thread: https://www.mountainbuzz.com/forums/f...sas-30356.html

I would imagine we will start to see it come up a little at a time, hopefully starting next week...but I don't think we will get the melt fully started until June this year.

The crystal ball just told me to look at the details of the upcoming weather forecast. Warm weather = snow melt.

Hint: Look at Leadville's forecast (especially night time lows.)

Colder today (chance of snow), warm for 3 days after today.

My guess would be a possible increase of the flow by late Saturday or Sunday.

Maybe 500 cfs here in bv this weekend... Maybe..

From what I know they should be letting at least natural flow down the rio but are holding back from both clear and lake so we are pry down about 100 cfs from native flow IMO.. Not sure why they are holding back water right now but they are so we may see a bump back to native flows but I dont see much run off anytime soon.

It is still -4 deg C at 10.5k ft so we are gettin a solid freeze every night and it takes 3-4 nights of non freezing temps above 10k ft to bring up the flows...

So yea maybe 500 by the weekend.....
