Wow, how far above Wood's Landing? I've done that stretch many a times and can't for the life of me figure where that rapid is. Maybe it just looks cooler in a picture, LOL, as there is one fun drop in it. Is it in the canyon just below the River Road put-in? (Class IV+ drive down a steep hill to the river?)

That photo was taken at the last big drop on the Laramie River as it leave the canyon on the way to Tunnel Road. The run is WAY downstream of Woods Landing. Actually it is downstream of the city of Laramie and Wheatland Reservoir. Unfortunately Amanda and I ran this on the last release day of the year.

If your interested in more info drop me an email.

I have some additional photos on

Just to keep us all straight, this other thread is about this strech of water:

Prolly already knew that, but what the hell. Looks like some fun water, and could be a little variety when doing bluegrass...
