When is the Upper C going to get some water?

I was planning on a quick overnighter with the family in a couple weeks, but right now there's no water. Anyone know when it may come up?

Whenever the natural flow at Dotsero gets below about 1200 or so and the Eagle is done for the season. Then the XCEL energy power plant (formerly Public Service) call will kick in and the Bureau of Reclamation will start releasing out of Green Mountain Res. to meet the water right at Shoshone Power Plant. It's what makes the Upper C floatable during the late part of the season.

I ran from Catamount down to Burns Monday and the flows were great. I'm not getting why the gage seems to be less.

Piney River is higher than the mighty colorado (piney is adding over 400 cfs by itself)!!
that is why lower down on the Upper C there is much better flow. by the confluence with the Eagle.....Colorado is about 1400 cfs
