What's up with the waterton gauge?

If you add the north and south fork of the South Platte shouldn't you get what waterton is flowing? If Roberts Tunnel is 327 and deckers is 150ish how is waterton reading in the 390s?

They turned up the tunnel today and it takes 12 hrs for the tunnel change to reach waterton. Waterton gauge is fine, and will show the bump later this afternoon or tonight.

Also, note that while the north fork plus the main stem should equal what is in waterton, there are some ungauged tributaries along the way that makes the math imperfect.

I've been following the gauge for 10 years and it has never added up to the north and south Fork

Thanks man, didn't realize it took water that long to get to it.

once the tribs are dried up -July onward -the two do add up to pretty close minus the Town of Bailey taking about 15 cfs...allowing for the time it takes to get there with flow release changes..
