Live To Surf (Wetsuit Care)

I run my wetsuit type stuff, NRS hydroskin mostly, thru the rinse/delicate cycle on my washing machine regularly. I just toss my top, bottom and booties into a mesh bag. Throw in washing machine, soapless. Rinses nicely, hang to dry.

For my drop top/bottom, I hose em out after I get home usually, and just hang dry. I also usually rinse out my boat after I get home. ~5 mins each time. No need for soap, never ended up with anything stinking.

"Sink The Stink"! It has the enzyme stuff to eat the bacteria, plus your gear smells like flowers afterwards.

Don't forget to use 303 on all your gaskets regularly. It's basically sunblock for your gear and will keep all your synthetics from breaking down in the sun. I'll do a 2 to 1 (water to 303) mix and dunk my dry top and dry suit in it and drip dry in the shade a few times a season.

Make sure your booties dry inside. Mine stink and I found that they were never drying properly. I make an effort to dry them now and the smell is slightly less evil.

I put a cup of vinegar in with mild powdered detergent. Works like a charm and no nasty chemicals. I also soak my booties in the same solution in a bucket from the time I get home until I do the wash. And yes boys, we girls DO wash our gear! I wash everything but my dry gear after every boating weekend. No stink and none of it looks like it is wearing out. Same neo for about ten years. It's cheap and easy to get, too.

All good tips thanks everyone for the info. Never heard of sink the stink but need to buy some solely based on the name!
