What do you think of this?

So I have been missing my paddle and put out a lost ad for it here on the buzz. I got this response from someone about possibly finding it. What do you think of this interaction and do any of you buzzards have any information regarding this incident?

Quote:I was paddling in the play park in clear creek on Thursday(?) and I saw this paddle come over the water i go over pick it up and lo and behold it matches your exact description. I threw it on the far side shore across from the boulders.

I continued to surf and play and another boater comes up and examines it. He claims it is Bart, his friend's paddle. I'm skeptical because it sounds too good to be true. I get washed out of the whole and take out just down river from the main play hole. I go back up to retrieve the found paddle and I find Mr. Other Boater has taken it and walked over to a car where he is talking to someone. I confront him about the paddle and he claims it is the guy he is standing with, Pablo's paddle. The whole thing sounded made up and false but i didn't want to get physical over it. I called him a liar and walked away.

I'm sorry but your paddle is lost forever.

Yeah... I mean, you cant blame the dude for not wanting to go all apeshit on someone for a paddle that possibly belongs to someone he doesn't even know... but yeah... that is fuckin weird.

Are you wondering if he was in on it or something? It sounds like life just cornholed you, and there is nothing you can do. Bummer.

I think...

1) always put your name and number on your paddle

2) buy a new paddle

3) chumps will be chumps

I have put numbers on all of my paddles but this one. Couldn't find my paint pen and then just forgot about it. My bad.

I will buy a new paddle but it will hurt (friggen expensive)!

I'm not sure if you're calling me a chump, but I think you're referring to the douches that took the paddle and your right chumps will be chumps.

Finally, I hate when life cornholes you and Hopefully karma will prevail!

To clarify... chumps are the guys who took the paddle.

Murphy's law is that the one paddle you don't put your name on gets lost. Bummer.

Come get your karma back and win a creekboat at the bailey fest raffle.

I feel silly having my email address plastered on my paddle until I read one of these threads.
