Westwater?

Drove down to Moab to ride this past weekend. High 60's and sunny most of both days. Couldn't help but to notice how much less (read: zero) snow there was near Cisco and Westwater on the way home.

I know that it'll take more than two days of warmth to erode the bridges in there. But we've had ~5 days of it now, with ~4 more forecast.

Anyone heard/seen anything on current conditions down in there?

You can call the river office they usually have an ice update but in the past depending on the weather it usually doesn't break up until around middle march.

I ran rocky rapid to take out yesterday. It was cool seeing all of the ice chunks barley floating in the murky brown water. Im not sure about westwater, maybe if I had a motor that could push me back up.

Seems like it should be clear, heck all the ice is gone from the Fractions and almost all the ice in the Numbers....at 8000+'...

I'd be interested to see how much sun is getting down there these days. I live on Bear Creek outside Evergreen and its still really iced up. It has been a slight bit silty the last few days which is exciting. Blood runs higher than water... Bring it!!

Clear up to Sock it To Me, ranger said to bring a flame thrower or dynamite. But the temps are in the 50's and the flow is around 3000 so it should be gone soon
