Crazy. South Creede evacuated right now. Looks like the weather forecast is finally improving. Keeping fingers crossed.

wow, that's incredible footage. obviously footage none of us would ever see if a hotshot/wildland FF wasn't filming. and as i know from work, that is very low on the list of priorities. more recon work with a huge fire i guess, then what i am used to. (structural and small wildland stuff)

Much Gratitude to all the Wildland Fire crews working 16+ hour days to try and manage these massive fires....Stay safe!!!

Is that waterfall in the Land of Giants? And WFSJ and SFRG are really close to burn areas, but not yet burned? Hoping this thing ends soon and glad that Wolf Creek and South Fork are still standing.

The waterfall is on the Born Ranch. Almost all of the West Fork looks burned which should be interesting to see the after effects such as siltation and debris flows. It's disappointing to see such a beautiful area get burned but its was and is depressing to see the state of the spruce forests in SW Colorado. If Missionary Ridge is any indicator this area will start to bounce back in a couple of years. And yes, much thanks to the firefighters out there busting their butts and hanging on the line for the rest of us.
