Water Levels on Upper Colorado

I am looking to do an easy run on the upper Colorado River this weekend and note that the Colorado River is running about 1000 CFS at Kremmling and State Bridge but at Burns it jumps to over 4000 CFS. Why is that?

Hi Mark
For the Burns to Dotsero run, American Whitewater uses the Dotsero gauge. that is below the Eagle confluence and well below the upper C run. it is not an accurate indicator of conditions on the colorado above state bridge or even at Burns.
