Washington Boaters?

Hello Boaters,

I just moved from Fort Collins, CO to Seattle WA and I am looking for some boaters. I know you are out there.....

So, I also noticed that I was very spoiled living CO as far as the boating community goes- there are a ton of us and we all know how to get a hold of each other, ie the buzz.

If anybody from WA is out there hit me up or if you are in CO and have a friend that lives let me know, or if you want to come up and boat let me know. You will have a place to cash.

There is a yahoo group WRRR. Washington Recreational River Runners.
Seems very active in planning river trips. Seems to welcome new people.

I have often enveyed the Washington boaters, they have a MUCH longer
season than we do here in Colorado.

I pretty much just did the opposite and moved from Portland, OR to Fort Collins. Anyway, there is a huge great community of boaters in the Northwest.
Go to www.pdxkayaker.org, I forget what the sister link in Seattle is, but you'll find plenty of people on the pdx list. You'll love the long season!

WRRR is the place to look. We're always happy to have new people to boat with. Good, large community that rafts the whole range of difficulty. You'll still feel spoiled.

I have the opposite situation as I just moved to Denver from Seattle. I'm suffering withdrawals from being able to boat 365 days a year. Looking forward to the thaw though!

You will love WA boating, as there is so much of it. Most used site is this one...

www.professorpaddle.com

James, the site master is a dedicated paddler and works hard to keep it real. Lots of WA boaters, mostly out of Seattle area, use the site. Like most sites, there are cool people posting, along with a few knuckleheads. You'll figure it out if you browse through some posts.

Not all the WA boaters are into Professor so PM me and I'll see if I can give you some good beta.
